The transcriptional start site of the mRNA of the gutR gene was determined by reverse transcriptase mapping. the putative gutR promoter sequence may be TCTTCG as the -10 sequence and TTGTTT as rhe 35 sequence. The insertion of the cat gene into the gutM and the reverse transcriptase mappin g experiments, it is suggested that the gutM gene has no other promoter. |
